About Us

 

PANTHER PERCHES was born towards the end of 2016 however the story started many years before that.

I have been a cat owner for over 15 years during which time I have owned 3 cats and taken care of another 2.

About 10 years ago I decided that it was time that Mitzy deserved a nice house. I searched around but did not feel that there was anything suitable available in the Pet Stores so I decided to build one myself.

It gave new life to Mitzy who was approaching her later years. This house is still standing today.

7 years ago Mitzy passed on to the Rainbow Bridge and I was so devastated that it took over a year before I agreed to let another fur baby into my life.

Due to circumstances we ended up with a brother and sister, Oliver and Bella who kindly model Panther Perches products today.

At the end of 2015 I was laid off from the job which I was hoping would take me through my last five years to my retirement.

While searching for a new position I found myself with a little time on my hands and decide to design a new, sturdy, home decor friendly cat stand eventually coming up with the Premium Cat Stand.

I researched the market talking to cat owners, breeders, veterinarian professionals and others within the industry including Pet Franchise Owners and came to the conclusion that there were people like myself who would appreciate a higher quality product. However to achieve this higher quality requires higher cost materials and to achieve the strength and aesthetics requires time and care.
